Business Innovation Summit (BIS), its agents, subsidiaries, and affiliates (“BIS” or “we”) produces the Business Innovation Summit Conference and Festivals, BIS EDU Conference and Festival, BIS Online, and BIS EDU Online (collectively, the “Events”), and is committed to respecting your privacy. By using or accessing our products, services, or Site (defined below) in any manner, you agree to this Privacy Policy and the website Terms of Use. As we continually work to improve our Services (defined below), we may need to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. This Privacy Policy identifies what Personal Data (defined below) is collected about you and how it’s used by Business Innovation Summit (BIS) when you use the websites beyondinnovationsummit.org, or other related sites as well as the BIS and BIS EDU TV apps and BIS GO and BIS EDU GO mobile apps (collectively, the “Site”), register for or attend Events, purchase goods or services, or communicate with BIS (together with the Site, the “Services”).

“Personal Data” means any information that identifies or relates to a particular individual and also includes information referred to as “personally identifiable information” or “personal information” under applicable data privacy laws, rules or regulations.

This Privacy Policy does not cover the practices of companies we don’t own or control or people we don’t manage, including companies or websites that you access through linked advertisements. Tracking Technologies

Cookies & Web Beacons

We use common tracking technologies—including cookies, web beacons, and pixel tags (collectively, “Tracking Technologies”)—to collect the information described in the data chart above. Cookies are small files that we transfer to your device’s hard drive to help us understand how often you visit the Site and what activities you engage in (e.g., whether you purchase BIS credentials, referred to here as a “Badge”). Each computer or device is assigned a unique cookie by BIS.

This helps us monitor how many users interact with our content or open our communications.

Our Retention of Personal Data

Business Innovation Summit (BIS) retains Personal Data for as long as necessary to deliver the products or services you have requested, to fulfill transactions, or to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When determining retention periods for specific data categories, we take into account several factors, including the source of the data, our operational need for the data, the original purpose for collection, and the sensitivity of the information involved.
